Chapter participants, parents, staff and Directors were recently invited to visit the home of Dr. Gary Wiren and his wife Ione to experience their magnificent golf collection.
The Gary Wiren Golf Collection is one of the finest private collections in the world.
While touring the collection, Dr. Wiren shared his incredible knowledge of golf history and some very amusing stories.
Gary Wiren is a member of six Golf Halls of Fame, including the PGA Hall of Fame and the World Golf Teachers Hall of Fame, and has honorary memberships or distinguished-service recognition from Sweden, Italy, New Zealand and Japan.
He has written or participated in the writing of over 250 magazine articles and 14 books including The PGA Teaching Manual, the most influential book on golf instruction in history. His popular and award winning, “When Golf Is a Ball,” was selected as the “best golf book in the year 2004.”
